Epcot at Disney World – Lake Buena Vista, Florida

When you are visiting the area of Orlando and you want to have a little exposure to the rest of the world go visit Epcot.  Here you will be able to find examples from the following countries to enjoy:
Mexico
Norway
China
Germany
Italy
United States
Japan
Morocco
France
United Kingdom
Canada

It is so much fun to walk around looking at all of the different items from these countries, compare the cultures through their items and visit with the shop owners, just like you would if you were in the country itself.

While you are going from one area of the park to the other you will be entertained by live performers.  If you are lucky you may even be asked to participate in the show, that would certainly be something to tell your friends when you get home.  Many of the entertainment specialties are focused on the kids in areas called Kidcot fun stops.

Are you attracted to technical advancement?  If so you will truly enjoy Future World where the attractions are focused on technological advancements, innovation and wonder.  There is the fastest attraction of all the parks at this site.  You will be able to go through the “most dangerous house in America” as you explore the world of fire safety, competing against other people that are visiting the park.  There is an area where you can push the limits of everyday items to see how safe they are or even create your own thrill ride.  Use your imagination and explore the unknown!

For the kids you may want to take them to the Journey Into Imagination With Figment in the Imagination! Pavilion.  Here the kids will learn how the 5 senses capture and control the imagination.  The purple dragon Figment will add to the fun for the kids as he joins the tour.

Try Mission: Space for something different.  Here you will be able to travel 8,000 miles in 5 1/2 minutes that turns you into an astronaut on a realistic space flight to Mars.  Try it to see if this is something the kids want to do when they grow up!

The National Treasures gives you the opportunity to see historic artifacts from important Americans and USA events.  You will see things belonging to Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Edison, Mark Twain, Rosa Parks and many others.  The items in this exhibit are on loan from several prestigious institutions and private lenders.  The items change so come back often to see what’s new.

Hey dad, have you wanted a “ride” that will make even you catch your breath?  Well, you will want to visit the Test Track where you will be going 60 miles and hour on a high-octane thrill ride which riders are automotive test subjects bracing unpredictable terrain- including an environmental chamber and 50 degree curves.  This is one that you will remember for a long, long time!

Visit The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion where you will be one of the largest man-made ocean environments in the world.  You will be able to take a “clamobile” ride and other undersea themed delights.

Soarin’ will give you a simulated ride in a peaceful hand-glider as you fly over California.  Experience the feeling of free flight from 40 feet in the air while surrounded by scenic panoramas such as the Golden Gate Bridge and Malibu and LA.

If you don’t want to stroll through the park without some structure in your adventure you can sign up for one of the many tours that are available.  You can choose from the following tours:

I think that all the amazing food choices are some of the best parts of visiting Epcot. Where else can you find Morocco cuisine right next to Japanese, and all with amazing decor to go along with it?
