Explore the Past, Present and Future of Space Exploration at Kennedy Space Center

Kennedy Space Center is one of the most remarkable tourist attractions in the United States, and your visit will be the highlight of your Florida vacation. So many phenomenal exhibits, shows, displays and tours are available at Kennedy Space Center; you will be almost as astounded by the Center itself as you are of space by the end of your visit.

The Visitor Complex at Kennedy Space Center features fascinating exhibits and shows designed for space education and discovery, but also fun. Early space exploration as well as present-day and future space programs are the focus of a variety of exhibits at the Visitor Complex.

IMAX movies, exhibits on space travel, and a full size Space Shuttle display are some of the highlights of the Visitor Complex at Kennedy Space Center. You can experience space flight in an interactive simulator, or touch an authentic piece of Mars. Interacting with a real astronaut during the Astronaut Encounter will be another memorable experience of your tour of the Visitor Complex.

One of the most dramatic exhibits you will see at Kennedy Space Center is the Rocket Garden. This awe-inspiring site includes historic rockets dramatically lit with a beautiful, patriotic lighting scheme. You’ll see the original Redstone, Atlas and Titan rockets, plus you can climb into the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo capsules. The rocket garden presents a very special opportunity for visitors to gain an understanding of the experience of America’s earliest space travelers. Tours of the Rocket Garden are available twice per day.

There are also tours to take that depart from the Visitor Complex that will allow you to view NASA facilities, see launch pads in person, plus visit the huge Vehicle Assembly Building. You won’t want to miss a tour of the Apollo/Saturn V Center on your visit to Kennedy Space Center. This incredible center brings the excitement of the Apollo program to life and pays tribute to the Apollo astronauts and machinery involved in their mission. There is a real Saturn V rocket on site at the Apollo/Saturn V Center.

These are just a few of the many fascinating exhibits and tours that are available to visitors of Kennedy Space Center. You can also spend time at terrific gift shops, relax and enjoy a meal or snack at one of the restaurants on site. With so much to see and experience here, you’ll want to plan to spend as much of a day as possible at Kennedy Space Center.
