Universal Orlando Resort – Orlando, Florida

Keeping Busy at the Universal Orlando Resort

One of the most popular things to do while in Orlando is to spend some time visiting the many theme parks in the area. Within just a short drive are Disneyworld, Epcot Center, and SeaWorld. Another one of the most famous and most visited attractions in the area is the Universal Orlando Resort, which is made up of three individual theme parks: Universal Studios, Wet N Wild, and the Islands of Adventure. Each offers visitors a very different experience, and you should be sure to visit them all.

Wet N Wild

It can get quite warm in Orlando, especially in the summer months, and the best way to cool down is to visit the Wet N Wild water park, which is touted as the best water park in all of Orlando. Some of the most popular rides include Brain Wash, which is six stories of thrilling fun, and the Disco H2O, which is a rafting adventure that takes place inside and enclosed aquatic disco – that’s certainly not an experience you can have everyday!

You can find many more thrill rides at the park, as well as the Kids Park, which contains rides built especially for the smaller crowd.

Islands of Adventure

The Islands of Adventure are made up of five distinct “islands,” each with a different theme: Marvel Super Hero Island, Seuss Landing, the Lost Continent, Jurassic Park, and Toon Lagoon. You will find many great rides, attractions, and shows on each of these themed islands.

In 2009, a new land will open up in the Islands of Adventure. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which has rides and attractions based on the adventures of the most popular wizard in the world, is sure to draw countless more people to the theme park.

Universal Studios

This popular park features sets from many of your favorite movies, as well as rides and shows that no one will want to miss. From their famous Jaws and ET rides to the new Shrek 4D and The Simpson’s Ride, this park still provides plenty of thrills and excitement. One of their most popular rides is the interactive Men in Black Alien Attack, which has you blasting aliens and trying to save earth.

These theme parks offer something great for every member of the family.
